FAQ
I don't currently read your magazines - can I still enter?
Yes, of course. Our magazines will be covering the competition every month until it closes and providing valuable information and inspiration where needed! Take advantage of our special Digital Artist 2009 subscription offers, too.
Does it cost anything to enter the competition?
No! It's free to enter the competition.
Can I enter all the categories?
No. You can enter up to five images across the 13 categories. All the categories are open for entries from the start of the competition.
Why can I only enter up to five submissions?
To keep this a fair competition and ensure we get a broad range of entries.
Can I send my submissions in on CD?
No. This competition is global and so is web-based in order to keep it fair to artists around the world.
One of my submissions has won a prize in another competition, can I enter it in Digital Artist 2009?
No. An image that has won a prize in a major national or international competition (one receiving more than 500 entries) is not eligible for entry.
I created one of my submissions last year. Is it eligible?
Maybe. Your work must have been produced no earlier than 2 April 2008.
How big should my submissions be?
Please refer to the submission guidelines for full details.
Will you sell all my personal details?
Certainly not! Please see our privacy policy for further information.
Do I keep the copyright of my entries?
Yes, of course. Please make sure you read the Rules to understand how your submissions will be reproduced.
Where can I find the rules?
You can read the rules here. By entering the competition, you agree to be bound by the rules, and also Future's terms and conditions of website use and its privacy policy.
What is this icon I see? What is RSS?
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) enables you to view lots of web content without visiting the main website or browsing through lots of pages.
The website content is presented in a single list, which means that you can see the updated content more quickly. You can also re-display the content from an RSS feed on your own website.
Choosing the pages you wish to see in this way is easy: click on a link next to an RSS icon
. If your web browser supports it you will see an RSS icon in your browser address bar. Clicking the icon or link will load the RSS feed allowing you to bookmark it or read it just as you would a web page.
Where can I download a handy document telling me what the categories and entry criteria are?
You can download the Categories and Criteria PDF here.
